Graphinee was started
July 8th 2004 and is an ongoing website meaning I will never stop
adding stuff and/or changing it. I like to think of Graphinee as my
personal website.
You'll find many things,
too many things. From Backgrounds to smiley's for msn. You'll even be
finding some flash projects as well as many of my digital artwork.
Graphinee is the result of a bored teenager with not much to do on her
spare time.
Although pretty much everything on this site is
free, there are still rules and boundaries. To avoid being "hunted" there's
usually some specific restrictions on all of my pages. But I'm pretty sure you
can avoid any trouble by sticking by the basic rules:
1. DON’T claim any of
my digital art as your own. 2.
DON’T claim any of the graphics as your own (that
includes my website template). 3.
DON’T edit or change any of my graphics and or
images. 4.
DON’T do number 3 and claim them as your own after.
5. DO have fun. ;)
Why "Graphinee"?
Back when I started my website 5 years ago, I was 10
years old. I think the name had something to do with the fact that it
sounds like "Graphic" and "Graffiti" at the same time. I've always
liked making graphics, and drawing has been my passion since I can't
remember when. Well, whatever the reason, I'm glad my 10 year old self
though of it.

Hello and welcome to my online art gallery! My name
is Valerie and I specialize in creating custom portraits of people using two
very different mediums. Working from your photographs, I can create
traditional hand-drawn pencil portraits as well as digitally hand-drawn color
portraits on a computer.
Traditional Pencil Portrait: Using a
combination of artist grade graphite, charcoal and carbon pencils on fine Velum
paper I create 100% hand drawn, black and white heirloom portraits that will be
cherished for generations to come.
Modern Digital Portrait:
For people who prefer portraits in "Technicolor", I draw digital portraits
using a special pen on my Wacom tablet, Photoshop CS4 (software) and my
computer. These portraits are also 100% hand drawn and have a more
modern look to them. Since these portraits are digital files, they can
then be reproduced similarly to a photograph or simply printed off a
printer.
My family portraits, both
digital and pencil, make wonderful gifts for a christening,
birthday, new baby, wedding or anniversary, Valentine's day, Christmas,
graduation, family gathering and many other special occasions.
Capture those special moments
forever with a portrait of your loved one, showing them exactly how much
you care. It would be my greatest pleasure to create such a memorable
piece of art for you.
Warmest Regards,
Valerie Theriault
